That people can’t see that Kurt is explicitly, repeatedly, and purposely portrayed as undesirable due to his gender expression while Blaine is held up as this paragon of sexual desirability is mind boggling to me. 

I get that people stan Blaine.  I love Blaine, he’s adorable and there is very little that can change my mind on that.  However, there is a very clear difference in the way we’re meant to view him and the way we’re meant to view Kurt.  Blaine is the heartthrob.  He makes people of all genders hot.  He’s the straight-passing-enough guy who everyone wants.  Kurt is too girly.  Too different.  Completely unable to ever be given a leading man role even when he makes it clear he can ‘butch it up’ because he’s just so gay.  It’s right there in the narrative.  You don’t actually have to look for it.  They tell you flat out: Kurt is not sexually appealing to anyone other than Blaine.
